If mortgage companies, banks and financial planners are looking out for their client's best interests why do only 3% of all homeowners ever pay off their homes? Why are ninety five percent of the people in this country dead broke when they reach retirement age? What's wrong with that scenario?
What's wrong with it is that those companies are not your friends. They are manipulating you and enslaving you. Debt is bondage. Interest is a taskmaster that never sleeps. When you have debt you make decisions based on what you must do to pay the debt. And putting money into investments when you have debt is a losing cause. What's the first thing that goes when money gets tight; investments. If your getting out of debt is based on the return from some investment, you will probably never get out of debt.
